Hey Steve –
Everything is fine – just extraordinarily busy. We are about a month away from moving into our new church, so I just haven’t had time to write my devotions, etc. I am actually planning on “Re-launching” stuff tomorrow – aka, i’m writing devotions again. Hope you find them beneficial. Blessings!

Geocaching is like a big treasure hunt. Someone hides a cache (the “treasure”) and records the latitude and longitude coordinates. They post the coordinates on a geocaching website like http://www.geaocaching.com. Then, someone else, like me, takes the coordinates, plugs them into my handheld GPS, and go find it. Usually, there is a log to sign when you find the cache. It is lots of fun.

Hello Again,

We are now “empty nesters” and faithful church attenders/participants. Our home devotions are as follows:

1. We start each day by reading our favorite Christian books together for a 1/2 hour or so.
2. We say grace together before each meal. We bought a book of many different graces and use a different one every day.
3. We listen to Christian music.
4. We each subscribe to podcasts. One that I listen to is WELSTECH.
5. We each read the bible, but on our own time, and usually not together. I often read it during my lunch hour at work.

I like what you are currently doing. I’ve just found you and I’m digging through your archives.

Hello Pastor Kratz, we don’t know each other but I’m also WELS so we share a common bond. I just wanted you to know that people are reading your thoughts; I know I am, and I enjoy them.

This story reminds me just how great God’s grace is. I once heard it referred to with this acronym:
G – God’s
R – Riches
A – At
C- Christ’s
E- Expense.
